Un incendie s’est déclaré jeudi soir au local de la Faculté d’Agronomie de l’UEH et a endommagé 6 salles de classes et un système d’énergie solaire.
Un incendie a ravagé dans la nuit du jeudi 13 avril 2023, au moins 6 salles de classe et un système d’énergie solaire au sein des locaux de la Faculté d’Agronomie et de Médecine Vétérinaire (FAMV/UEH) à Damien, dans la plaine du Cul-de-Sac.
Le feu a démarré au niveau des laboratoires de phytopathologie et biotechnologie, puis s’est propagé dans plusieurs salles de cours, dont au moins six ont été endommagées.
Pour l’heure, aucune perte en vie humaine n’est à déplorer, a confirmé le doyen de la faculté Jocelyn Louissaint.
Toutefois, d’importants dégâts matériels ont été enregistrés.
Selon le doyen Louissaint, c’est le deuxième incendie qui a touché les locaux de la Faculté d’Agronomie et de Médecine Vétérinaire de l’Université d’État d’Haïti, depuis 2021.
