L’activisme anti-gang se poursuit dans tout le pays. Ainsi, une opération menée le dimanche 11 septembre 2022 par des agents de la Police Nationale d’Haïti, sous la direction du commissaire du gouvernement de Fort Liberté Eno Zephirin a permis l’arrestation de huit bandits présumés, dont cinq qui appartenaient tous au gang » Kokorat « . » Il s’agit notamment de Cherline Pierre, âgée de 24 ans, Bitsia Pierre, 23 ans, Widen Jean, 24 ans, John Peter Fleronvil, 31 ans, Jean Gardy Benoît, 33 ans, Mackensy Siméon, 23 ans, Dina Joseph, 24 ans et Bensia Charles, 23 ans.
Arrêtés dans la ville de Ouanaminte
La Police Nationale (PNH) a arrêté ces présumés bandits arrêtés dans la ville de Ouanaminte. Selon des responsables de la police, les huit personnes sont des membres actifs du gang Kokorat basé aux Gonaïves, dans la province de l’Artibonite. Cependant, les informations disponibles suggèrent que cet important troll s’est fait contre ces éléments dangereux alors qu’il s’apprêtait à fuir le pays pour se rendre en République dominicaine. Ces huit bandits seront détenus par la police dans l’immédiat pour les suites nécessaires.
